We all have "Do Not Enter" zones that our parents have set up for us. If you are growing up in a Christian home, you probably have more conservative restraints on you than your non-Christian friends. You're annoyed, aren't you?
"Why won't my parents just let me live my life and have fun?"
"What's wrong with going out and having a good time?"
The answer is simple: nothing. There is nothing at all wrong with having fun. However, what you do to have "fun" may not be. Yes, I know what you're thinking.
"Are you serious? Do we really need to talk about this? Seriously quit being such a kill joy!"
I know you don't want to hear it, but you need to. The party scene may be appealing to you; the energy and the feeling of being alive draws you in, doesn't it? But even after all that partying, in the end you feel pretty empty. Why? It's because only Jesus can fill the void in your heart. The things we use to try to fill the void with - drugs, alcohol, and even relationships - in the end leave us empty and disappointed. Jesus is the only one who will never disappoint you.
